| I believe all of us walk through life wearing half of a mask. The unmasked side; what we allow others to see of ourselves, whether it be our genuine self...or a false representation of how we feel - what we want others to believe. The masked side: The things of ourselves that we are not happy with: either mentally, physically or possibly something in our past that we try to hide from or forget. I believe we have all felt the need to hide behind the mask--Whether hiding from outward influences or...just ourselves. This is also illustrated in the poem, "Paintbrush." by Bettie B.
